| FYI! Colonel Joe Rowland has just recently rejoined us from Iraq, only to get hurt in his own backyard. He never left the Missouri Muleskinner Corps, even while serving his country. He sent back several nice things, including a flag flown over Iraqi soil, for auction at our meetings. I'm sure he would appreciate hearing from everyone. I hope he gets well soon. Colonel Rowland is a good guy. However, I don't recall him asking Corps permission to break his collar bone? Commanders, we'll have to set a fine for him at out next meeting. Thanks, Commander #23 Doug Bohm UPDATE! Joe Rowland was in a 4-wheeler accident on Saturday and broke his collar bone and some ribs. He went to the hospital and thought they would give him pain meds and send him home. For some reason he got worse. They know he has an infection, but do not know where the infection is. He is in ICU at Capital Region Hospital. Get well cards can be sent to: Joe & Terry Rowland 748 Joseph Drive Jefferson City, MO 65109 UPDATE! They have confirmed Joe has pneumonia. They have not ruled out giving him a breathing tube. Despite all that, she said he seems to be doing better...more alert, talking more, better color...seems more himself. He is still in ICU. If anyone wants to visit, Terry will take visitors back to him as long as he is awake and feeling alright. It is with great sorrow I announce the passing of our dear friend and fellow Colonel Ray Garrett on May 15th, 2009. |
